Chava had a baby. When they took it from her she grabbed the baby's shoe. For two weeks she held that shoe clenched in her hand. Each night she talked to the shoe: "Wherever you are I will be with you soon." When the guard pried open her hand and saw the shoe he shot her.

Mixed media on canvas including: baby shoes (one inscribed with the names of the Jewish foremothers: Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah) Sections taken from the Journal of Historical Review (a publication of the Holocaust deniers)
